Freedom to play
The NSW Government is helping with the cost of sport, recreation, creative and cultural activities with $50 Active and Creative Kids vouchers.
Voucher 2 2025 is now available. If you have not used voucher 1 2025, you can use this together with the new voucher before 31 December 2025 for a combined total of $100.

Apply for a marriage certificate or plan your wedding ceremony at one of our welcoming venues.
Births
Register your baby within 60 days of the birth. It's free and the hospital doesn’t do it for you. After you register your baby, you can apply for a birth certificate.
Deaths
When someone dies, you will need to provide information to your funeral director so they can register the death.

The Parramatta River will undergo temporary closures this October as John Holland undertakes essential works as part of the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 Enabling Works project. The critical works will involve Ausgrid relocating the 132kV electrical wires spanning the river ahead of construction of the new public and active transport bridge connecting Wentworth Point to Melrose Park. This bridge will significantly enhance Sydney’s future transport infrastructure.
